Pathos AI secures $125 million deal with Alphamab and partnership with AstraZeneca for AI‑driven oncology drugs

Pathos AI, a clinical‑stage artificial‑intelligence and technology company, announced two licensing agreements to expand its oncology pipeline. The firm will pay $125 million upfront to Chinese biotech Alphamab Oncology for worldwide rights—excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan—to develop and commercialise Alphamab’s bispecific antibody‑drug conjugate JSKN016, a TROP2/HER3‑targeted therapy currently in Phase III trials for triple‑negative breast cancer in China. Alphamab will receive up to $2.09 billion in milestones and royalties.

In a separate deal, Pathos AI will collaborate with AstraZeneca to advance AZD4241, an oral PROTAC designed to degrade estrogen receptors in ER‑positive, HER2‑negative breast cancer. Pathos will lead early clinical development of the asset. Both compounds were identified through Pathos’s proprietary AI platform, Foundry, which screens extensive biological and clinical data to pinpoint high‑potential oncology candidates.
