Patisia: Two Pakistani migrants assaulted in racist attack

Two Pakistani migrant workers, brothers Osman M. and Horam M., were victims of a racist physical assault in the Patisia neighborhood of Athens on Thursday, August 27. The attack occurred near Agia Paraskevi Square on Kambouroglou Street.

According to a report by the movement United Against Racism and Fascist Threat (KEERFA), a tall, muscular individual approached the brothers and began punching and kicking them. During the assault, the attacker reportedly shouted, “F*** Pakistan.”

The victims required hospital treatment, including stitches for an injury near the eye. Horam M. alleged that when police arrived at the hospital, they showed them photographs and discouraged them from taking official action. The brothers, who work in a jewelry workshop and have resided in Greece since 2007, subsequently filed a complaint with the Police Racial Violence Department.
