Patlabor the Case Files announced for PS5 and PC

Good Smile Company and developer Chime Corporation have announced the release date for ‘Patlabor the Case Files’, a 3D action game marking the franchise’s return to gaming after its last release on the PSP in 2005. The title is scheduled to launch on September 17, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.

Preorders are currently available on the PlayStation Store in standard and deluxe editions. The deluxe version, priced at approximately $39.99, includes a soundtrack featuring 30 songs by Kenji Kawai and offers 72-hour early access starting September 14. The game will support multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

Gameplay features include main and side missions involving Special Vehicles Section 2, mecha combat with iconic Labors such as Ingram and Griffon, and a Simulator Mode with over 20 playable characters.
