Patrocínio Book Club and Guarulhos Used Book Fair Highlight Brazil's Local Literary Activities

In Patrocínio, the Biblioteca Municipal hosted the bi‑weekly Café com Letras meeting on 5 August, dedicating the month’s program to works by authors from Patrocínio. The event featured a special exhibition of local titles, available for loan or on‑site reading, and announced the next gathering for 20 August at the same venue.

In Guarulhos, Bosque Maia became the site of the Mega Feirão de Livros André Luiz on 15‑16 August. The two‑day fair offered used and semi‑new books starting at R$ 5 across genres such as fiction, children’s literature, spirituality and health. Activities included a storytelling session and book signing by author Valter Farid Julio, a performance by the volunteer clown group Sorrindorfina, and a “Corpo em movimento” wellness session led by physiotherapist Angela Bushatsky.
