Pattaya luxury villa robbery involves $820,000 cryptocurrency theft

Three armed men broke into a luxury villa in a gated community in Nongprue, near Pattaya, Thailand, targeting a foreign resident of Chinese origin with Turkish citizenship. During the early morning raid, the assailants entered the victim's bedroom and used weapons to force him to open a safe.

The robbers stole cash and three luxury watches, but most significantly, they coerced the victim into transferring $820,000 worth of cryptocurrency to one of the perpetrators' wallets. The stolen digital assets were reportedly sold immediately following the transfer. The victim managed to escape and report the crime to the authorities. Local police and the Immigration Bureau are currently investigating the incident.
