Pattaya missing teen Nong Tong vanishes after meeting older foreigner

Seventeen‑year‑old Nong Tong disappeared in Pattaya after telling friends she would meet an “older foreigner” at Central Pattaya mall to watch a film. Her sister, Pinanong Lansettha, said the family does not know the man’s identity or nationality and believes the teen may have met him through an app. The family has launched a social‑media appeal, urging anyone with information to contact police, writing, “I’m asking for your help in finding my younger sister.”

Nong Tong, who came from a rural province to work freelance in the tourist city, was not employed in bars and had no regular contact with the nightlife scene. Her disappearance comes weeks after the body of another 17‑year‑old, Tunchanok Donhomla, was found in a suitcase beside railway tracks in Pattaya. An Australian truck driver, Simon Peter Carman, has been charged with that murder and is held in Pattaya Remand Prison, though authorities say there is no indication he is linked to the current case.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of Nong Tong’s disappearance and are asking the public for any leads.
