Pattaya police arrest foreigner after alleged assault on teenager

A foreign man was taken into police custody in South Pattaya on September 16 after allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old Thai teenager. The incident occurred near a convenience store on South Pattaya Road around 6:00 AM.

The teenager, identified as Sarasin, reported that he attempted to assist a foreign man and a Thai woman who appeared to be searching for a lost motorcycle key. According to the victim, the man suddenly attacked him, punching him in the face.

Police and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Dhamastan Foundation responded to the scene, where they found the injured teenager. Witnesses described the foreign man, described as Caucasian and approximately 30 years old, as being in an agitated and unpredictable state. The man reportedly refused to provide his name or nationality to officers. He was subsequently taken to the Mueang Pattaya Police Station for questioning.
