Pattaya police investigate theft of 25,000 baht from South Korean tourist
A 33-year-old South Korean tourist, Yeonho Lim, has reported the theft of 25,000 baht in cash from his hotel room in Pattaya, Thailand.
According to reports, Lim met an unidentified Thai woman at an entertainment venue on Walking Street on September 10. After consuming alcohol, Lim invited the woman back to his room at the Aster Hotel and Residence. Upon waking at approximately 7 a.m., Lim discovered that his bag had been opened and 25,000 baht was missing. The woman was also no longer in the room.
Lim has provided CCTV footage and other evidence to the Muang Pattaya Police Station to assist in the investigation. Police Lieutenant Phupha Yongyakul stated that officers are reviewing the material to identify the woman and determine if other individuals were involved. As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made.
