Paul Bettany praises Robert Downey Jr. as Oscar-worthy

Actor Paul Bettany, known for playing Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has expressed his belief that Robert Downey Jr. deserved an Oscar nomination for his performance in ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Bettany described the performance as “extraordinary” and “Oscar-worthy,” while also noting that Scarlett Johansson’s performance in the same film was “heartbreaking and poignant.”

In a separate development regarding the MCU, the upcoming streaming series ‘VisionQuest’ will explore themes of artificial intelligence and humanity. The eight-episode series features Paul Bettany’s character and is expected to involve the legacy of the AI Ultron, originally voiced by James Spader. Showrunner Terry Matalas worked to bring Spader back to the franchise for the project.
