Paul Panzer reveals death of wife after 25-year marriage
Comedian Paul Panzer, born Dieter Tappert, has publicly revealed the death of his wife after 25 years of marriage. The announcement clarifies the reason for the sudden suspension of his “Schöne neue Welt – Welcome to hell” tour in April, which his management had previously attributed to a “severe personal loss in the immediate family.”
Speaking in the podcast “Betreff: Leben – die Sprechstunde mit Hans Sigl,” recorded at Ammersee, Panzer described his wife as the “love of my life.” He shared that he is now focusing on his responsibilities as a father to their son. Despite the loss, Panzer expressed a desire to maintain his courage and outlook on life, stating, “I find that life is a great gift, a great adventure.”
Panzer is scheduled to resume his tour dates in October, with upcoming performances in Neubrandenburg, Frankfurt (Oder), and other locations across Germany and Austria.
