Paul Panzer personal family losses
Overview
German comedian Paul Panzer, born Dieter Tappert, has publicly addressed recent personal hardships during an appearance on the podcast ‘Betreff: Leben – die Sprechstunde mit Hans Sigl’.
Panzer revealed that his wife, whom he described as the ‘love of my life’, passed away earlier this year. This news clarifies the reason for the sudden suspension of his ‘Schöne neue Welt – Welcome to hell’ tour in April, which management had previously cited as a ‘severe personal loss in the immediate family’. Panzer noted that he is currently focusing on his responsibilities as a father.
In addition to the loss of his wife, Panzer discussed a medical emergency involving his 86-year-old father, who suffered a minor stroke two years ago. He noted that his father initially refused hospital treatment, and the situation was managed at home with the assistance of a family friend who is a physician.
Panzer is scheduled to resume his tour dates in October across Germany and Austria.
