Pavel Šulc faces injury and transfer market hurdles at Lyon
Olympique Lyonnais forward Pavel Šulc is facing challenges regarding both his physical health and his market value. The Czech international has been struggling with a knee injury involving bone edema, which he noted causes pain during certain movements and after training. While he has continued to compete, he indicated that a full recovery might require three months of complete rest, a luxury he currently does not have.
Beyond physical concerns, Šulc has reflected on his recent transfer window. Despite interest from clubs in the Premier League and Serie A, including Juventus, no permanent move materialized. Šulc suggested that the high transfer fees demanded by Lyon, combined with his nationality, may have impacted his marketability. He remarked that having a French or Portuguese passport might have made a transfer easier to negotiate.
