Pavel Šulc injury and professional status

Pavel Šulc, an offensive player for Olympique Lyonnais and the Czech national team, has been navigating physical recovery and professional challenges.

Initially, Šulc addressed his recovery from a knee injury, noting that while swelling and bruising persisted, the injury did not significantly limit his play, though harder pitches caused pain. During this period, he also expressed concern regarding the demanding UEFA Nations League schedule, suggesting that the Czech Republic would need heavy squad rotation to manage the physical load of playing four matches in eleven days.

Subsequent reports indicated that Šulc is dealing with more specific complications from a knee injury involving bone edema. He noted that while he has continued to compete, a full recovery could potentially require three months of complete rest. Additionally, Šulc reflected on the recent transfer window, noting that despite interest from Premier League and Serie A clubs such as Juventus, no permanent move occurred. He suggested that high transfer fees demanded by Lyon and his nationality may have influenced these negotiations.
