PAZ party gains official accreditation in Tamaulipas ahead of 2027 elections

The newly formed PAZ political party secured formal accreditation from the Instituto Electoral de Tamaulipas (IETAM) after submitting the required original documentation. State president David Armando Valenzuela Barrios said the process will allow the party to participate legally in local and federal elections scheduled for 2027, fielding candidates for municipal presidencies, local deputies and federal deputies.

Valenzuela noted that PAZ entered Tamaulipas with a base of about 7,500 members, having held assemblies in all eight federal districts of the state. He quoted, “Tenemos presencia en todo el estado y vamos a participar en el proceso de 2027 con candidatos a presidentes municipales, diputados locales y federales.” The party’s national registration was approved earlier by the Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE), after completing assemblies in the 300 federal districts nationwide. Following the state accreditation, PAZ will organize its internal structures and convene a national congress later this month to elect its leadership. The party also clarified that public financing will be redistributed among more parties without additional cost to taxpayers.
