PBNU addresses allegations of corruption funds involving NU branches

Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul, Vice Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), stated that the central organization has not received any official reports regarding claims that certain regional branches (PCNU) returned corruption proceeds to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Gus Ipul emphasized that allegations concerning the flow of corruption funds to Muktamar participants must be supported by concrete evidence. He expressed full support for the KPK in investigating these matters to ensure transparency and legal accountability. He warned that the organization would take action against any members making unsubstantiated accusations.

Separately, the Chairman of PCNU Kudus, KH Asyrofi Masyitho, denied allegations of receiving money to influence votes for the 35th NU Muktamar in Jombang. Masyitho stated that the branch rejected attempts to manipulate votes and had already determined its candidates for Rais Aam and General Chairman through internal deliberation and prayer.
