Hradec Králové Opens Mileta Underpasses as Czech Towns Revamp Bus Facilities
The Mileta intersection in Hradec Králové completes its reconstruction with the opening of the two remaining pedestrian underpasses on 3 August. New city‑bus stops – “Fakultní nemocnice UK” and “Heyrovského” – also begin service the same day, serving multiple MHD lines. The contractor was notified of surface irregularities in the underpasses, and a temporary water‑pumping issue was reported due to a provisional connection to street lighting.
In Heřmanův Městec, the municipal council voted to prohibit buses from parking on the town square. The change, effective 1 July, follows an agreement with the Railway Administration that created a dedicated bus parking area near the station. City police have been deployed to monitor compliance.
Příbram announced a plan to replace bus shelters at seventeen stops, aiming to modernise the local public‑transport infrastructure.
