Peacock’s Dungeon Crawler Carl adds Eric Heisserer as co-showrunner

Eric Heisserer has joined the Peacock adaptation of Matt Dinniman’s bestselling litRPG book series, ‘Dungeon Crawler Carl’, as a co-showrunner and executive producer. Heisserer, known for his work on ‘Shadow and Bone’, will work alongside writer and co-showrunner Chris Yost.

The series is produced by Seth MacFarlane’s production banner, Fuzzy Door, with Erica Huggins and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald also serving as executive producers. Matt Dinniman will serve as a co-executive producer. Voice actor Jeff Hays is set to return to voice the character Princess Donut.

The story follows a post-apocalyptic premise where survivors of an alien invasion must navigate a sadistic, intergalactic game show managed by AI. The book series has achieved significant commercial success, with reports indicating over 10 million to 14 million copies sold.
