Pearl Abyss' Crimson Desert hits 6 million copies sold worldwide

Pearl Abyss announced that its open‑world action‑adventure game Crimson Desert sold 6 million copies globally within 83 days of its launch on 19 March 2026. The title moved 2 million units on the first day, passed 5 million copies in its first month and added more than 1 million additional sales in the following two months. CEO Jin‑young Heo said the company is “sincerely grateful to players worldwide for helping Crimson Desert achieve such significant global market success despite being a new IP.”

According to market‑research firm Circana, Crimson Desert ranked second among video‑game sales in the United States for 2026. Pearl Abyss plans a series of content updates from June to September, including story expansions, new combat content, cross‑save support across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and downloadable‑content (DLC). The milestones represent an unprecedented sales performance for a single‑player game developed in South Korea.
