Pearl Abyss delays Crimson Desert DLC to October 29
Pearl Abyss has announced a two-week delay for the first major expansion of Crimson Desert, titled ‘Charting the Unknown’. Originally scheduled for release on October 15, 2026, the DLC will now launch on October 29, 2026.
The developer stated that the additional time is necessary to “deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience” and to further refine the content. The studio issued an apology to the community for the wait.
The expansion is set to significantly broaden the game's scope, introducing maritime exploration, ship command, and underwater discovery in the world of Pywel. It will also feature new narrative elements involving characters Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, alongside improved housing mechanics and new enemy types. The DLC will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a retail price of approximately $24.99.
