Pearl Abyss releases Crimson Desert patch 1.17 with bug fixes

Pearl Abyss has rolled out patch 1.17 for the action‑RPG Crimson Desert on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The update does not add new content but addresses a range of technical issues reported by players. It corrects the “Desperate Rescue” challenge so progress is recorded correctly, fixes a quick‑slot bug that automatically assigned an item after food supplies were exhausted, and resolves problems with special helmets whose unique effects sometimes failed to trigger. Combat‑related glitches are also fixed, including overlapping footstep sounds and minor animation stutters during character movement. The user interface has been cleaned up by removing icons for unobtainable chests and correcting the display of commercial routes on the map. Localization errors across all supported languages have been revised for better translation quality. Pearl Abyss indicated that further updates are planned for June‑September, which will expand the storyline and adjust abilities for characters Oongka, Damiane and the protagonist Kliff.
