Crimson Desert receives major trade overhaul in 1.16 update

Pearl Abyss released patch 1.16.00 for the open‑world action‑adventure Crimson Desert on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The update expands the in‑game economy with 133 new trade posts that unlock through quests, seven new wagon workshops, and 24 high‑value plus four regular trade goods. Prices now react to supply and demand: selling too many identical items at a single location drives the price down, while remote or hard‑to‑reach posts offer higher profits.

The banking system is also overhauled, adding a bond shop where players can invest ten or more bonds, exchange bonds for gold bars, and purchase rare items. Additional changes include increased profit margins, a dedicated Trade tab on the map, and improved inventory stacking. The patch bundles numerous bug fixes and technical improvements such as AMD FSR 4.1 support, ray‑regeneration updates, combat animation tweaks, and animal behavior fixes. A subsequent hotfix (version 1.000.424) addressed UI glitches, notably a storage UI mis‑display on some platforms.

Overall, the 1.16 patch shifts Crimson Desert’s focus toward a deeper, more realistic economic simulation while polishing core gameplay and visual performance.
