Pearl Abyss announces Crimson Desert Enhanced update

Pearl Abyss has announced ‘Crimson Desert Enhanced’, a major free version 2.0 update for its action RPG. Revealed at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, the update focuses on addressing previous criticisms regarding the game’s narrative flow and character depth.

Key improvements include new cinematic cutscenes, additional dialogue, and expanded story moments to better flesh out the protagonist Kliff and the world of Pywel. The update also introduces a reworked skill progression system, new abilities for Kliff, and improved character viability through shared skill points.

To support a global audience, the update adds five new voiceover languages—French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Brazilian Portuguese—alongside Arabic subtitles and interface support. Existing players will receive the update for free, while new players can access the game at a 20% discount across all platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Mac, through September 9.
