Pearl Abyss to showcase Crimson Desert at gamescom 2026 with Samsung partnership

Pearl Abyss announced it will participate in gamescom 2026, held from 26 to 30 August in Cologne, Germany. The company will present its open‑world action‑adventure title Crimson Desert in a dedicated Samsung booth, offering a public playable demo on Samsung’s latest Odyssey G8 6K monitor.

Ahead of the main exhibition, Pearl Abyss will also join gamescom Dev (23 – 25 August) to deliver two technical sessions. The first, “How We Filled the Vast Continent of Pywel,” will detail the methodology used to design and build the game’s massive world. The second, focusing on the in‑house BlackSpace Engine, will explain how the engine scales open‑world creation, covering procedural terrain generation and biome‑based asset placement. Senior leaders Geun‑tae Ahn, Jin‑hwan Kim and Jin‑ho Yoon will lead the presentations.

Since its March launch, Crimson Desert has sold over six million copies within the first three months, and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games Store and Apple Mac.
