Pedestrian killed in traffic accident near Zenica

A woman from Travnik died following a traffic accident on the M-17 highway in Topčić Polje, near Zenica. The incident occurred around 19:25 hours when the pedestrian, identified by initials S. R. (born 1953), stepped off a bus and was struck by a Mercedes.

The vehicle was driven by an individual with the initials E. Č. from Zenica. Emergency medical services from Zenica confirmed the woman's death at the scene. Following the collision, traffic on that section of the highway was completely suspended until approximately 22:55 hours and diverted to secondary roads.

Local residents had previously raised concerns regarding pedestrian safety on this specific stretch of the M-17 highway. Criminal police conducted an investigation at the site to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
