Overview
A series of road accidents occurred in Bosnia and Herzegovina in late October 2026.
On October 22, a pedestrian was killed on the M-17 highway in Topčić Polje, near Zenica, after being struck by a vehicle while stepping off a bus. Local residents had reportedly expressed prior concerns regarding pedestrian safety on that stretch of the highway. Following the incident, traffic was suspended for several hours.
On October 24, a public transport bus veered off the road in the Husino settlement on the Tuzla–Sarajevo main road. The accident resulted in 11 injuries, with victims transported to the University Clinical Center Tuzla. Authorities suspended traffic on the Šićki Brod–Živinice section to conduct an investigation.
