Pedocin beach in Trieste sees record visitor numbers

The Pedocin beach in Trieste, which features a 74-meter wall separating male and female sections, has reported record-breaking visitor numbers. According to local reports, the beach saw 106,696 visitors over a three-month period, generating approximately 120,000 euros in revenue.

The tradition of the segregated beach dates back to the Habsburg era. The site attracts a high volume of tourists, particularly women, due to its unique historical setup. In July alone, 53,610 tickets were sold, a significant increase compared to previous years.

Daily entry to the Alla Lanterna bathing area is priced at 1.20 euros. While the business shows strong economic and social results, local reports note that the facility is in need of renovation.
