The debate intensified after a June incident involving a woman from Milan who attempted to sunbathe in the male section. During the dispute, the visitor labeled the rules “sexist” and “backward,” while a local woman involved in the confrontation reportedly entered the male side only to assist her husband and their son with a disability.

This controversy appears to have acted as an unexpected advertisement. In July, the beach sold 53,610 tickets, a significant increase from 34,885 in July 2024 and 40,160 in July 2023. Over a three-month period, the facility saw approximately 106,696 visitors, generating roughly 120,000 euros in revenue. Despite this economic success and high demand, local reports suggest the facility is currently in need of renovation.
