Pedro Américo immersive exhibition opens in João Pessoa
The immersive exhibition ‘Pedro Américo, o Pintor do Brasil’ is currently on display at Espaço Luzzco in the Altiplano neighborhood of João Pessoa. The event is free to the public and runs until next Friday, with visiting hours from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A collaborative effort between the João Pessoa Secretariat of Science and Technology, the Innovation Agency (Inovatec-JP), and the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), the project aims to connect audiences with the life and work of Pedro Américo de Figueiredo e Melo, a prominent Brazilian artist. Coordinated by Professor Carlos Dowling, the exhibition utilizes generative artificial intelligence and three-dimensional projections across four rooms to provide a multisensory experience.
Visitors can explore historical canvases and view a detailed projection of the artist’s famous work, ‘Grito do Ipiranga,’ which depicts the moment of Brazilian independence.
