Infrastructure and transport developments across Latin America

Various infrastructure and transportation developments are underway across Latin America. In Paraguay, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications has implemented new traffic rules at the Pedrozo crossing on Route PY02 due to ongoing works. This includes lane reductions and a 24-hour free assisted transport service for vulnerable populations.

In Peru, Movil Bus is expanding its parcel service with a new fleet to enable 24-hour deliveries. In Venezuela, authorities have deployed a modular ‘war bridge’ in San Sebastián de los Reyes to restore connectivity following structural collapses caused by heavy rains.

In Honduras, rehabilitation work has begun on the CA-13 highway in Elixir, while in Tegucigalpa, the municipal government is repairing a major sinkhole on Avenida Colón caused by aging water infrastructure. Additionally, a large-scale $150 million water system modernization plan has been announced for the capital.

In Argentina, the Salta government is advancing the construction of the Lerma Valley Highway, with the first section expected to open by late 2026, featuring integrated flood prevention infrastructure.
