Latin American regions advance diverse infrastructure and social projects
Various regional governments and private entities across Latin America are advancing infrastructure and social projects.
In Peru, the Cusco Regional Government has declared a water and sanitation project viable, involving over S/ 1,429 million to benefit 540,000 residents. Additionally, in Hualgayoc, Gold Fields and local authorities are collaborating on a community house, while regional counselors are pushing for the completion of educational facilities in Cotabambas.
In Argentina, road and public works are a focus. Neuquén is repaving Route 65 to expand its tourist circuit to the ‘Paseo de los Nueve Lagos’. In Río Negro, officials are addressing connectivity on Routes 22 and 151. In La Pampa, the government has completed hospital works and is advancing a livestock plant in Eduardo Castex. Meanwhile, in Rivadavia, municipal funds were used for street repaving.
In Chile, social and urban management continues with FOSIS investing over $600 million in Valdivia for family and entrepreneurship programs. In Magallanes, authorities have recovered a fiscal property for institutional use, and in Coquimbo, efforts are underway to restore connectivity on Route 41-CH following storm damage.
