Pelister National Park installs new wildlife monitoring cameras

The public institution Pelister National Park in Macedonia has installed additional cameras at an altitude of about 2,000 metres. The devices are intended to detect wildlife such as the wild goat and other species, as well as to monitor any unwanted activities on the mountain.

Park employee Petar Moshtanovski said the system will help assess animal numbers, health and conservation potential, while director Ivancho Toshevsky added that active monitoring has already reduced litter and improved visitor behaviour. The park plans to promote further eco‑projects to protect the area.
