Pelita Air offers up to Rp360,000 discount on domestic flights after VAT incentive ends

Indonesia’s government ended the VAT‑free incentive for economy‑class domestic air tickets on 5 July 2026, meaning passengers will again be charged the standard value‑added tax. In response, Pelita Air, in partnership with Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), launched a promotion that gives travellers a discount of up to Rp 360,000 on any domestic route when tickets are purchased with BNI debit or credit cards and the transaction exceeds Rp 2 million.

The discount applies to tickets bought between 4 July and 31 July 2026 for flights scheduled from 6 July to 24 October 2026. Additional benefits include a cash‑back of Rp 280,000 for purchases made via the Wondr QR code and extra reductions of up to Rp 200,000 for round‑trip bookings.
