Peloponnese Region completes road paving in mountainous Argolis

The Peloponnese Region has completed road paving and maintenance works in the mountainous villages of the Argolis municipality, specifically within the Argos-Mykines region. The project, part of the ‘Asphalt Paving – Road Network Maintenance P.E. Argolida 2026’ initiative, was carried out with a total budget of 450,000 euros using the region's own resources.

The primary objectives of the intervention were to improve road conditions, ensure safer travel for citizens, and enhance accessibility for mountain communities. Following the paving, road marking works are scheduled to further improve visibility and safety for drivers.

Vice Regional Governor of Argolis, Vasilis Sideris, noted that these works address specific infrastructure needs in areas where geomorphological conditions require regular and targeted maintenance to connect mountain communities with urban centers and essential services.
