Infrastructure and social welfare efforts have also expanded. The region approved €6.1 million for road maintenance and flood protection across several regional units, alongside a €4 million initiative to combat child poverty through the European Social Fund+. Public health initiatives include the ‘Armoring Life, Investing in Safety’ cardioprotection plan, which aims to establish a network of publicly accessible defibrillators.
