Pemalang student dies following alleged school bullying

A seven-year-old elementary school student, Muhammad Hasbi Al Aqib (MHA), has died in Pemalang, Central Java, following suspected bullying and physical violence at school. The student, a second-grader at SD Negeri 01 Kebondalem, passed away on September 30, 2026, after undergoing medical treatment at RSUD dr M Ashari Pemalang.

The victim's mother, Diah Indriyanti, reported that the child initially did not disclose the abuse. However, during medical examinations for severe abdominal pain, the child reportedly told doctors that older students had punched him in the stomach and kicked him with shoes.

During his nine-day hospitalization, the child suffered from vomiting, bloody stools, loss of appetite, and extreme pain when his body was moved. The family is currently seeking answers as police investigations into the alleged violence are ongoing.
