Pemex water line rupture causes flooding in Tlahuelilpan

A rupture in a Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) water conduction line caused flooding in the wholesale market area of Tlahuelilpan, Hidalgo. The incident resulted in damage to local businesses, merchandise, and infrastructure, leaving behind a sinkhole and fractured pavement.

Local merchants expressed significant concern, noting that this is the second infrastructure failure in less than 15 days. A previous rupture occurred in Tezontepec de Aldama, where high pressure caused a water jet over 20 meters high, affecting electrical services.

Affected business owners are demanding a comprehensive inspection of the regional infrastructure to prevent further incidents and are seeking clarification on compensation for damages and repairs to the commercial zone.
