Pennsylvania woman charged in deaths of husband and son at resort

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide following the deaths of her husband, Charles Harrison, and their three-year-old son at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.

Authorities responded to a 911 call on October 12 after Harrison reportedly requested assistance with committing suicide. Upon arrival at the resort, police discovered the two victims in their hotel room with multiple stab wounds to the chest. Harrison was found with self-inflicted injuries to her wrists and neck.

During the emergency call and subsequent medical transport, Harrison allegedly made several statements regarding her desire to join her family, stating, “I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child.” Investigators recovered two knives from the scene, which resort staff confirmed did not belong to the establishment. Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso described the incident as a “violent domestic tragedy,” noting there is no ongoing threat to the public.
