Overview

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, has been charged with two counts of criminal homicide following the deaths of her husband, Charles Harrison, 36, and their three-year-old son, Tristan, at the Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, Pennsylvania.

Authorities responded to a 911 call on October 12 after Harrison reportedly requested assistance with committing suicide. Upon arrival, police discovered the victims in their hotel room with multiple stab wounds to the chest. Investigators determined that the knives used in the attack were brought to the resort by Harrison and did not belong to the establishment. Harrison was found with self-inflicted injuries to her wrists and neck.

During the incident, Harrison allegedly made statements regarding her desire to join her family, stating, “I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child.” She also reportedly told emergency responders that she was ‘suicidal, not stupid.’

Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso described the event as a “violent domestic tragedy.” Due to the nature of the killings and the involvement of a child, investigators noted the case could potentially qualify for capital punishment prosecution under Pennsylvania law. Harrison remains in custody.
