Pernambuco launches new hemodynamics unit at Hospital Getúlio Vargas

The Government of Pernambuco, through the State Health Secretariat, inaugurated a hemodynamics service at Hospital Getúlio Vargas on 21 July 2026. The unit, funded with an investment of R$ 6.1 million, includes advanced equipment for endovascular procedures, enabling real‑time imaging of blood vessels. It expands the hospital’s capacity to perform high‑complexity vascular treatments such as angiographies, angioplasties, embolizations and therapeutic drainages.

State Health Secretary Zilda Cavalcanti said, “This delivery makes a huge difference for those who need the SUS at HGV and improves working conditions for health professionals.” Hospital director Luciana Raboni added, “As a reference in vascular surgery in the state, HGV takes an important step to enhance the quality and speed of patient care.”
