Pernambuco launches pet sterilization campaign in Camaragibe and São Lourenço da Mata

The Pernambuco state government, through its Secretariat of Environment, Sustainability and Fernando de Noronha, announced a new round of free sterilization for dogs and cats. The mobile clinic will operate in Camaragibe from 11 to 15 August on Rua Manoel Honorato da Costa, 555, and in São Lourenço da Mata from 18 to 20 August at the EREM Escola Conde Correia de Araújo, Rua José de Alencar, 20. Pet owners must schedule appointments via the Instagram pages @meioambientepe and @causaanimalpe, and the service includes microchipping and post‑operative medication. The initiative aims to control stray animal populations, improve animal welfare and protect public health, officials said.
