The Pernambuco chapter of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB-PE) and UNINASSAU are organizing a three‑day conference from 5 to 7 August 2026 at the Centro de Convenções de Pernambuco. The event, titled “Advocacia 5.0: Tecnologia, Inteligência Artificial e Democracia,” will examine how artificial intelligence, data protection, jurimetrics, cybercrime, constitutional democracy, freedom of expression and digital advocacy prerogatives are reshaping legal practice.

Confirmed speakers include OAB Federal Council president Beto Simonetti, jurist Aury Lopes Jr., Superior Tribunal de Justiça minister Marcelo Navarro, Union Attorney General Jorge Messias, OAB‑PE president Ingrid Zanella and UNINASSAU founder Janguiê Diniz, among other judges, prosecutors, professors and researchers. Organizers say the conference aims to foster knowledge exchange, ethical use of technology and preparation of lawyers for present and future challenges.
