Political candidates in Pernambuco are expanding their regional support bases ahead of the 2026 elections.

Miguel Coelho, a candidate for federal deputy representing União, has secured support from political leaders in Abreu e Lima, located in the Recife Metropolitan Region. The movement aims to strengthen his presence in the metropolitan area following his previous terms as Mayor of Petrolina.

In the Sertão region, state deputy candidate Batista Cabral (PSB) held meetings in Arcoverde to strengthen the Frente Popular's presence. Accompanied by federal deputy candidate Luciano Pacheco (MDB), Cabral's efforts focus on connecting different regions of the state and aligning his candidacy with the political project led by João Campos.
