Persija Jakarta coach Shin Tae-yong optimistic about team performance

Persija Jakarta coach Shin Tae-yong expressed optimism that the team's performance level will soon reach 100 percent following a two-week training camp in Thailand. During the camp, the team secured two 2-1 victories in friendly matches against local clubs Police Tero and Chiangrai United.

Shin Tae-yong noted that current match performance is at approximately 70 to 80 percent, with improvements expected as the team finalizes tactical adjustments and physical conditioning. He emphasized that match results are secondary to the players' ability to maintain stamina and execute tactical schemes.

The coach attributed the team's increased solidity to the integration of six Indonesian national team players following the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026: Nadeo Argawinata, Rizky Ridho, Jordi Amat, Shayne Pattynama, Dony Tri Pamungkas, and Rayhan Hannan. He praised their rapid adaptation to the squad.
