Indonesia's Agriculture Ministry Unveils Multi‑Billion Rupiah Support Packages for Farmers

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman met Governor Gusnar Ismail of Gorontalo and announced an additional Rp53 billion assistance for the province, including 20 hand tractors, rice‑seed packages for 10 000 ha, and hybrid corn seed for 40 000 ha.

In Brebes, the regency launched a subsidised fertilizer programme for fish‑pond operators, allocating 1 500 tonne of Urea and SP‑36 to 554 registered growers.

The Ministry of Plantation, together with BPDP, Ditjenbun and Best Planter Indonesia, conducted a five‑day harvest‑post‑harvest training for 181 participants from four Riau regencies, aiming to raise fresh fruit bunch (TBS) prices.

National statistics show the farmer price index (NTPP) rising to 114.65 in June 2026, with Bulog absorbing 3.3 million tonnes of domestically produced rice, supporting stable farm gate prices.

The minister also met with 150 Papua university students, pledging additional five hectares for a student‑run farm and encouraging a youth‑led agriculture movement.

Separately, Pertamina Port & Logistics announced a green investment to plant 600 mangrove seedlings in Balikpapan.
