Pertamina reports successful production tests in Sanga-Sanga
PT Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga (PHSS) has reported successful production tests from two new wells, SEM-206 and SEM-207, located in the Semberah Structure within the Sanga-Sanga working area in East Kalimantan.
Well SEM-206 exceeded initial targets by producing 5.3 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd) and 706 barrels of condensate per day (bcpd). Well SEM-207 produced 3.11 mmscfd of gas and 103 bcpd of condensate, which was four times higher than the original target. Both wells utilize a natural open flow mechanism.
Dadang Soewargono, General Manager of Zone 9 PHSS, stated that these drilling activities are part of a strategy to increase reserves, improve recovery rates, and mitigate the natural decline of production in mature fields in the Kalimantan region. The company utilized advanced techniques, including Casing While Drilling (CWD) technology, to ensure borehole stability and operational efficiency.
