Pertamina wins IABC Indonesia award for digital communication

PT Pertamina (Persero) has received the Best Digital and Social Media Campaign award at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Indonesia Awarding Night 2026. The event took place on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Le Meridien Hotel in Jakarta.

The award recognizes Pertamina’s ability to communicate its role and messages to the public effectively, transparently, and relevantly. Specifically, the company was honored for its integrated communication efforts regarding disaster response through digital and social media platforms, which were noted for being humanistic and closely connected to daily life.

Jeane Niode Sindy, Head of Committee for the IABC Indonesia Awards 2026, noted that while artificial intelligence can accelerate processes, integrity, empathy, and a human touch remain the primary determinants of an institution's reputation. Muhammad Baron, VP of Corporate Communication at Pertamina, stated that the recognition serves as an evaluation to continue improving the quality and relevance of the company's communication programs.
