Peru advances territorial delimitation and indigenous land titling

Peruvian regional authorities have made significant progress in territorial management and land formalization. In Ucayali, the Regional Government delivered 24 property titles to native communities across the provinces of Coronel Portillo, Padre Abad, and Atalaya. This legal formalization aims to provide security to thousands of indigenous families, facilitating access to financial credit and state social programs.

Separately, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) and the regional governments of Tumbes, Piura, and Loreto have completed the 100% delimitation of their departmental boundaries. This process defined over 2,220 kilometers of territorial limits, which has been incorporated into the National Registry of Limits (Renlim). The initiative is expected to benefit more than 3.4 million citizens by improving urban and rural planning and ensuring more efficient distribution of public resources.
