Port authorities in Huelva and Peru expand logistics and infrastructure capacity

The Port of Huelva has approved a 50-year concession to ZAL Huelva, S. A. for the construction and operation of a Logistics Activity Zone (ZAL) in Punta del Sebo. Covering over 147,000 square meters, the project aims to boost logistics, transport, and the agri-food sector. Additionally, the port approved tariffs for a cold supply pipeline (frioducto) at the South Pier, which will utilize residual cold from Enagás's regasification process to support the Cold Logistics Hub.

In Peru, ProInversión reports increased private sector interest in infrastructure through contract amendments. Significant developments include a USD 700 million investment plan for the Port of Matarani, which extends its concession by 30 years. In Callao, DP World has proposed a USD 1.5 billion investment to expand its pier and improve the approach port, while APM Terminals is also considering contract modifications. These moves are intended to optimize terminals and expand logistical capacity in the region.
