Peru President‑Elect Keiko Fujimori initiates transition office and ministry‑by‑ministry audit
Keiko Fujimori, president‑elect of Peru, announced the establishment of an Office of the President‑Elect to manage the transition before the official hand‑over. The office will coordinate an immediate technical assessment of every ministry, examining projects, resources and urgent challenges, and will also carry out a “human” diagnosis through dialogue with regional officials, entrepreneurs and workers.
She named Marco Vinelli as head of the transition team and pledged a government that is open, digital and close to citizens. Fujimori said the new stage for Peru demands responsibility, dialogue and swift decisions, aiming to preserve successful programs while correcting what has not worked.
The president‑elect emphasized that the country cannot wait for solutions, and the transition office will provide the data needed to act quickly once her administration takes office.
