Peru targets US$ 18 billion in infrastructure investments

ProInversión estimates that approximately US$ 18 billion in investments could be mobilized in Peru over the next three years. These investments are expected to focus primarily on infrastructure, transport, energy, ports, and irrigation systems.

Edgar Patiño Garrido, director of the Investor Service Directorate, noted that the entity has reached nearly US$ 54 billion in investments to date. Key opportunities identified include railway and port infrastructure, specifically mentioning Metro lines 1, 3, and 4, as well as port projects in Chimbote, San Juan de Marcona, Eten, and Lambayeque.

The strategy also includes the development of industrial parks, special economic zones, and dry ports, such as a planned dry port in Puno and initiatives in Callao.
